 Aboard Training Australia offers Maritime and Seafood Industry training in- Elements of Shipboard Safety (Onsite training) Coxswain  and Restricted Coxswain Fishing (Onsite training or recognition of experience) Master5/Skipper 3 (Onsite training or recognition of experience) MED 3 and MED 2 (Onsite training or recognition of experience). The Queensland Master Fishers License training and recognition is also available.                                                                                                                                                                                SUBSIDIES NEWS FLASH: Seafood and Maritime Industry-  Employers Training Incentive -         If your existing deck hand has 3 months full time or 12 months part time employment with your business  you are likely to be eligible for up to $5,00.00 (gst exempt, subject to criteria and application approval ) subsidised training .  Qualifications covering the Coxswain, Master 5 / Skipper 3,  Marine Engine Driver 3 and Marine Engine Driver 2 are eligible for subsidy.  Please call 0734082312 for more information regarding the criteria for this great opportunity to eliminate your/his out of pocket costs for training fees and keep your trainee skipper learning on the job at the same time.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Small Vessel Operators Certificate NEWS UPDATE:  The transition of the SVOC to Coxswain Restricted Fishing  will occur when the  Seafood Industry passes over the administration of the license to Maritime Safety Queensland on 1st August 2008.   Existing SVOC license holders will be able to exchange “old for the new” license with minimum hassle and the existing range and the existing criteria of operations will continue.
